Agent Self sits with the guys as they talk about the latest Scylla victim. Lincoln starts to get a little angry as Mahone tells Self that they can follow him out of town to Vegas. “So what’s the plan?” Sucre asks. “We’re going to Vegas,” Linc replies.

Olmstead revealed his thoughts on the plotline of Season 4. “It’s a culmination of – and I think that the three [seasons] that are behind us laid the groundwork – this feeling of this desperate pursuit of freedom and how special freedom is really reverberates through the show in general and certainly this season.” Even though the gang is out of prison, they’re still being forced to do something. Olmstead says that the fans should have this feeling that their goal is just beyond their grasp and they want it very badly.

One of the big challenges for this season was coming up with a premise that would push all of these characters together again. Especially T-Bag! “He was the most difficult character to accommodate. We found a way and believe me, it happened luckily fairly quickly.” Olmstead said that they would have spent weeks figuring it out though. He was not about to lose Rob Knepper! “One of our favorite dynamics of the show are the yard scenes where you have all the cons together. They hate each other, but they all want the same thing, so they have to band together.”

Olmstead briefly talks about his surprise at the way William Fichtner popped during Season 2 and the decision to keep him around. “I was aware that he was talented as an actor, but when he came on, that’s one of those things where it was a mutual decision.” At the end of that season Olmstead and Fichtner sat down together and chatted. “I tell him what we have in mind creatively, he tells me what he’s looking for, and thankfully, he’s given us what we need, we’ve given him what he needs and so he feels creatively validated and enthusiastic. This year especially, [Mahone] is completely just knocked sideways with a real major tragedy in his life and he’s at once broken and vengeful. [Fichtner] really brings it.”

It’s Vegas baby! The gang hits the Las Vegas strip in search of the next card holder. Lincoln takes members of the team to Las Vegas where Sucre gets an indecent proposal. Lincoln tells Sarah about Michael’s condition, and Roland pushes his luck too far. Gretchen teams up with T-Bag who makes an offer to Michael he cannot refuse. Meanwhile, the secrets in Whistler’s bird book are finally revealed.

Spoilers Include:

• The wealthy gambler the team is targeting (for his Scylla card) enjoys “playing” with Latin men, although he is married.

• The team forces Sucre to step up, and he grudgingly plays along.
• We learn later that the man wants Sucre to satisfy his hot wife, as he is impotent.

Dominic Purcell says that he may have once been touched by a ghost! He says it happened while filming on location at the Joliet Correctional Center outside of Chicago.

Something touched him on the neck. “I looked around and thought, ‘That’s weird.’ I didn’t think about it too much. Then in the afternoon, one of the actors came to me and said, ‘Did you just touch me on the shoulder?’”

If you believe in ghosts, that place may certainly house quite a few. The prison was home to serial killer John Waynce Gacy and the cast filmed in his cell. “It’s not a nice place. It’s creepy,” Dominic says.

In fact Dominic says that the entire place feels very sad. “It reeks of sadness. A lot of hurt has been done there. It’s an old place, with a lot of history. The place is guarded still, even though it’s a closed-down prison.”

Jodi Lyn O’Keefe sits down with TV Guide to talk about her character on Prison Break. Unlike Gretchen, Jodi Lyn says that she is not tough. “I don’t even like to argue!” she says.

Jodi Lyn says that the writers probably kept her around because it’s nice to have some female influences on the show. And now that Gretchen’s working on her own, it makes her a little bit scarier. “No boss to report to and she’s out for the Company now,” Jodi Lyn relates.

Will Gretchen ever become a good girl? Jodi Lyn doesn’t think so, although she does say that she’ll help others out if it furthers her goal.

Episode 4.15 finds Gretchen and Self with Scylla (and a buyer). Michae, whose condition is deteriorating, winds up in the hands of The Company. They promise Lincoln that they can save Michael’s life in exchange for a favor.

Characters for this episode include:

• Ralph:
  Mid 30s to mid 40s. A bible salesman who comes to the door of Rita’s house as she’s being held hostage by T-Bag, he’s an earnest, devout young man who is going door to door with his bibles, clearly on a mission. Unfortunately, T-Bag thinks he’s an agent for The Company, and Ralph is stunned and terrified to find himself beaten up and tied up on the floor of Rita’s living room. Literally quivering with fear, Ralph finally convinces T-Bag that he is, in fact, just a lowly bible salesman; however, the joke turns out to be on T-Bag.

• Ivan:
  This offbeat, charactery desk clerk at a downtown fleabag hotel in his early 30s to late 40s is a fastidious, slightly fussy man who takes $300 in bribes from Sara and Sucre in exchange for info on Gretchen and Self–whom he immediately calls to warn them.

• Man/Doctor:
  In his 40s. This doctor working for The Company examines Michael and tells Pad Man his diagnosis.
