This is a small special feature clip from the Prison Break Season 4 DVD that will be released on June 2, 2009!
“It’s going to sound so cliche, the fact that we’ve become a family, but it has. Actually more of a fraternity!” Amaury says.
“I’ve definitely become a more confident actor, and I’ve learned a lot of lessons of what it is to be a leader,” Wentworth reveals.
Matt Olmstead Chats William Fichtner
November 4, 2008 by Nikki Katz
Matt Olmstead talks about working with William Fichtner. Matt says that there is never a time that William takes a backseat. Someone always says, “Thank God for Bill Fichtner!”
William also talks about investing in the role. “What does it really mean to you? What is that really like?” And he tries to go deeper into his role.
The scene last night with Wyatt was pretty amazing. What did you think?
William Fichtner on Playing Alex Mahone on Prison Break
October 30, 2008 by Nikki Katz
William Fichtner recently sat down to talk about his Prison Break character and the journey that Mahone has experienced.
“It’s never a one-note experience for Mahone, ever,” says Fichtner when it comes to Season 4’s storyline. “I mean, the same was true of last year when we were in Sona, you know, it was the same sort of thing of, you know, falling into the drugs and missing his family and feeling like his whole world was caving in.”
Fichtner admits to not having much of a say but he has told Matt Olmstead to keep making it challenging. “Just throw everything at me!” he says.
When it comes to the emotional toll of playing Mahone, Fichter says that if you care about your character and know what you’re doing, the pieces of the puzzle fall into place. He says that after seven or eight shows, the writer can turn to the actor and ask HIM about the character!
Fichtner agrees that Mahone is probably to set on revenge to feel grief. “Revenge is a funny thing, you know. It’s one of those emotions like jealousy, revenge. It’s so all consuming that I don’t think you can really live and function if you really let it, you know, grip you that much.” But Mahone has been around long enough and he knew that it would all come to this.
As for Mahone’s quest to kill Wyatt, Fichtner says that it’s revenge but it’s not very calculated. “It’s just a matter of time,” he says.

William Fichtner in New Show ‘Night and Day’
September 22, 2008 by Nikki Katz

William Fichtner has been tapped for the lead role in TNT’s drama pilot Night and Day. William doesn’t have a deal with Prison Break beyond Season 4, so I guess it makes sense. As of right now there are no plans to kill off his character, but there are also no plans for a Season 5!
Anyway, the new project is written and executive produced by 24 co-creator Joel Surnow and Todd Robinson. Night and Day is supposed to be a fast-paced, gritty drama about the life of Dan Hollister [Fichtner], an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms who works for a special threat intervention task force.

William Fichtner Amazed With PBS4
July 17, 2008 by Nikki Katz
William Fichtner says that the show may take a leap forward, but it’s still the same characters and that’s what works about the show. “The writers wrote really cool characters,” he says.
When William read the script for Episode 4.01 he marveled that they were able to “put everybody in a place where you understand what the future is in one show.”
All he asks the writers on the show is to make it challenging - the drug addict and missing his wife. “I love what they give me,” he says.
William Fichtner - Prison Break Season 4 Filming
June 5, 2008 by Nikki Katz
Spoiler TV scored some awesome footage of William Fichtner filming a scene for Prison Break Season 4.
Fichtner is dressed in a tuxedo, sunglasses, and a cap, making him look like a bellhop or limo driver of sorts. Filming takes place outside the Roosevelt Hotel.
We still haven’t had much word on whether Mahone will be on the side of Michael or The Company or whether he’ll just flip-flop back and forth some more! Who do you think Mahone will work with?
William Fichtner - Respectable Odds in Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race
March 20, 2008 by Nikki Katz
Did you know that William Fichtner is set to join the Toyota Pro/Celebrity race at the Long Beach Grand Prix? He’ll be up against sports stars, a boy-band member, and a guy who helped cook up “Ratatouille.”
Here are Bill’s odds…
William Fichtner, 2-1: Fichtner plays an FBI agent on the TV show “Prison Break.” That perfectly describes the first lap of any race at Long Beach. If he can duplicate what his character does on the TV show, Fichtner will do fine in the race.
The race is the world’s longest-running, most successful celebrity racing event and airs Saturday, April 19.
William Fichtner on Prison Break
February 17, 2008 by Nikki Katz
William Fichtner chatted with TVGuide about the DVD release of his film, The Amateurs. He also talked a little about Prison Break and the writers…
TVGuide.com: On this week’s Prison Break, after Mahone said, “I don’t have a horse in this race” and readied to part ways, they made an interesting choice to have Linc remember that Alex killed the brothers’ father and then to pull a gun on him — no pats on the back there. What did you think of that choice?
Fichtner: One thing is for sure, television shows live or die on writing. The joy of Prison Break has been the writers. They’re great and they forever challenged me, which makes the journey worth it. I can’t do a series over 22 shows just to get paid. I’d die. These guys have been awesome. They could have played that either way — “Thanks, we never would have gotten out without you” — but that’s what Prison Break does, better than most. Just when you think you know something, something else comes along.
TVGuide.com: That moment got interrupted by Whistler’s escape, of course, and we didn’t see Mahone again. Is he still in the mix?
Fichtner: [Silence] We’re breaking up here…. No, I’m kidding. [Laughs] We’ll see what happens. We’ll see what happens. I will tell you, there is one more show making up the first 13, and you will see Mahone.
TVGuide.com: How satisfying is the strike-shortened season’s makeshift finale [airing Monday, Feb. 18]?
Fichtner: For the most part, all of the episodes come to a satisfying ending. Like I said, I can’t compliment the writers enough. Believe me, you’re going to get a few twists and turns that are like, “Whoa, where did that come from?!”
