This is a small special feature clip from the Prison Break Season 4 DVD that will be released on June 2, 2009!

It’s going to sound so cliche, the fact that we’ve become a family, but it has. Actually more of a fraternity!” Amaury says.

I’ve definitely become a more confident actor, and I’ve learned a lot of lessons of what it is to be a leader,” Wentworth reveals.

On his deathbed, Pastor Joseph Brown asks his daughter to take over the church. But how will Jesse’s free-spirited nature and somewhat checkered past sit with the powers that be at Mt. Rockmond Dunbar Loves Chicago!

July 23, 2007 by Nikki Katz

Rockmond Dunbar loves Chicago so much that he tried to convince the Powers That Be at Prison Break to stay there instead of moving the filming to Dallas!

“I talked to the aldermen here and tried to get even more of a tax break [for filming].”

Dunbar, who also does some work behind the camera, is trying to bring his next film here in 2008. It’s called “Black Flag,” an action comedy about a black NASCAR driver. He wants to shoot the racing scenes at Joliet’s Chicagoland Speedway.

“Everything looks good, so let’s see if it can happen next year,” Dunbar told Armour & Co.

Chicago is, after all, his home away from home. Dunbar, who lives in Los Angeles, is having a place built in Bronzeville. It’s shaping up to be his, uh, summer home. “I have to be very clear and very honest,” the actor told us. “The summers here are incredible; spring and fall are great. But when you get to the winter, I won’t be here. I’m still keeping my house in L.A.”

Rockmond threw the opening pitch at a recent game in Chicago too.

Rockmond Dunbar to star in Heartland

April 18, 2007 by Nikki Katz

rockmond-dunbar.jpgRockmond Dunbar is set to start in TNT’s Heartland series. But he was pulled in so last minute that he’s “still trying to pull it together.”

The actor, who’ll juggle his role as C-Note Franklin on “Prison Break” with the heart surgeon he’s playing on the June 11-debuting “Heartland” Treat Williams starrer, says he’s found almost no time to research his role. “I’m going to go to my girlfriend’s dad’s office. He’s a gynecologist, and I’m going to follow him around a little bit. And my mother was an R.N., so I had a lot of questions for her. But that’s the only type of preparation I’ve been able to do in such a short period of time. From one week to the next I went to a totally different show.”

Dunbar says the only thing his “Heartland” character has in common with C-Note on “Prison Break” is that “you think he’s one thing, but then there’s something else. He’s a heart surgeon, Stanford grad and all that, but he has his demons on the other side.”

C-Note “Could” Come Back

April 6, 2007 by Nikki Katz

But not likely…

TV Guide: So, Rockmond, is that it for C-Note?
Rockmond Dunbar: Well, he’s not dead. He went off into the witness protection program with his family. His story is done, but all that’s happened with me is that I’m not a regular castmember. I’m a recurring one now.

TVG: Ah, so you could come back.
RD: Yeah, I could, but you know, I’ve already moved on to my next series, Heartland.

TVG: Were you surprised when you were told that C-Note was leaving the show?
RD: I was, especially because I had been told that C-Note was going to be OK. When the script for Episode 18 was sent to me, [the producers] called me and said “Hey Rock, you’re hanging at the end of the episode, but we want to tell you that you’re not dead!” So I was a little worried because we get the scripts a few days apart. Then, in Episode 19, C-Note’s still alive, so that was OK. But then, I got a call, and they said, “Hey, um, Rock? You know how we told you that you were OK? We’ve painted your character into a corner and we don’t know where he could go. We can’t have you as a regular player anymore, but we love you and the relationship we have with you, so we’d like you to have a recurring role. You can sit around and get a smaller contract, or you can go out and try to get something else. We hate to lose you, but we also don’t want you just sitting around collecting cheques.” And that’s the biggest thing, you know? I don’t care how much money I make, I love to work. That time between “action” and “cut” is so precious to me. C-Note, in my eyes, is someone that may be invited back again, maybe not, but I’ve moved on to a different show, and I’m really happy about that.
