Jodi Lyn O’Keefe Talks Final Break

June 6, 2009 by Nikki Katz

414_JustBusiness-Sc5-6-7_0111.jpgJodi Lyn O’Keefe recently sat down to chat with Movie Web about her stint on Prison Break, the Prison Break: The Final Break DVD, and her plans for the future!

When asked how it was to work with such an amazing cast of men, Jodi laughs and says that she was nervous when she first walked on set. “I thought this was going to be interesting. It was going to be me, with a gun and a bunch of dudes and I was like, ‘Am I going to be comfortable?’ It turned out that I got there and they were such gentlemen and they were so lovely to me that they made me feel at home right away. There are all these guys asking every minute if you’re thirsty? Do you need a glass of water? Are you OK? Have you eaten today (Laughs). It was the exact opposite of everything that I expected to happen. I was expecting a bunch of stinky, sweaty boys. It was easy. I kind of integrated into the cast really easily. They are amazing to work with. The first couple of weeks on set, I just couldn’t stop smiling. My favorite story to tell is that I got there and it was like, that’s Michael Scofield. That’s not Wentworth Miller. That’s Michael, and I had just this big sh*t-eating grin on my face the entire time. I had to constantly remind myself that, ‘Maybe you shouldn’t smile so much when you’re killing someone” (Laughs). It was an adjustment.

When it comes to the DVD release of Prison Break: The Final Break, Jodi reveals that she thinks it was always supposed to be after the season finale. “The season finale left you with all these questions, and this two-part show answers them all for you. It’s kind of like a bonus at the end of all of it.” And as for Michael’s death? “I just don’t think anyone in the public is actually going to be convinced that Michael is actually not around.

As for her current plans, Jodi says that she’s scrambling for work. “I’m trying to find a project that I love and that I’m into and get back in the saddle again. I finished Prison Break and I did a guest star on The Big Bang Theory and it’s been about a month or so, since I’ve stopped working.

She also says that The Call has not been picked up for 2010, despite what IMDb says!

Jodi Lyn O’Keefe In ‘The Call’?

May 30, 2009 by Nikki Katz

phlphotos232470-Jodi-Lyn-O-Keefe4481.JPGAccording to IMDb, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe starred in the pilot episode of The Call, slated for 2010. The weird thing is that the pilot was actually filmed in 2007! So I’m not sure if it’s set to air in 2010, or what is going on.

Jodi played the role of Jenna ‘Kinky’ Kincaid and the network describes the show as:

Most people don’t think about first responders until they need one. Nick Adams and Ian Wode are the paramedics you pray for when your life is in peril. Nick is the star paramedic at Aurora Healthco, a private ambulance service in LA. Nick is known as the “The Comeback Kid.” He has a genuine talent for saving lives, which earns him praise from his grateful patients. Meanwhile, his brash demeanor provokes the ire of his budget-conscious boss, Wendy “The Wolf” Wolfram. Ian is Nick’s longstanding partner and confidant. As intelligent as he is neurotic, Ian tries to find a balance between Nick’s “save-’em-at-all-cost” humanity and The Wolf’s iron-clad regulations. And then there’s Tom Timlin, the wide-eyed trainee, caught between his mentors’ brilliance and high-jinx, and never completely sure which way to go. They valiantly patrol the streets of Los Angeles with their competent and bodacious co-worker, Jenna “Kinky” Kincaid. Both tough as nails and soft as velvet, Kinky views Nick as both colleague and competitor. The secret truth is that she’s wildly attracted to him though she would never admit it. Although supremely confident, Kinky has one Achilles’ heel. She tends to lose partners with alarming frequency a fact that Nick will not let her forget.

In each episode, the daring and dysfunctional employees of Aurora Healthco answer “The Call” in real time, with nerves of steel and tongues firmly planted in cheeks. The Creator of “Kitchen Confidential” (David Hemingson) teams with the Emmy-winning Executive Producers of “24″ (Joel Surnow, Robert Cochran, and Howard Gordon) to bring this hilarious, high octane thrill ride to life.”

80908A1_OKEEFE_J_L_B-GR_03.jpgJodi Lyn O’Keefe reportedly called it quits with her boyfriend (since 2003) John Cuasck.

She desperately wanted to spend the rest of her life with John,” says an insider to Star. “But he’s never felt the need to get married. She hoped for years he’d change his mind, but she’s done wasting her energy.

Jodi gave John one last chance in early January, when the two took a Florida beach vacation to try and work things out. But a witness says that once they returned from their vacation “they were really cold to each other, bickering a lot.

Jodi ended it soon after, and since the split, adds the insider, “she’s been dating and trying to have fun.

Jodi Lyn O’Keefe recently chatted with TVGuide about Prison Break and how long her character lasted in the series!

When asked if she was happy that they kept Gretchen alive, and if it was for a reson, Jodi Lyn responds, “Yeah, I do. At the beginning of the year it was touch-and-go. There even was an article about how I was dead for a minute, and then I wasn’t.” Originally Gretchen was supposed to die in Episode 4.01 but the producers changed their mind.

I’m actually still breathing on-camera — I’m just mortally wounded — so you never know,” Jodi says. It doesn’t appear that she’s coming back in this season, but who knows about a Season 5 or Cherry Hill spinoff!

They also went into Dom’s trailer and took his credit card - and they have spent £1,100 in stores and withdrew £1,900 in cash.

Jodi Lyn O’Keefe Interview

October 4, 2008 by Nikki Katz

Jodi Lyn O’Keefe sits down with TV Guide to talk about her character on Prison Break. Unlike Gretchen, Jodi Lyn says that she is not tough. “I don’t even like to argue!” she says.

Jodi Lyn says that the writers probably kept her around because it’s nice to have some female influences on the show. And now that Gretchen’s working on her own, it makes her a little bit scarier. “No boss to report to and she’s out for the Company now,” Jodi Lyn relates.

Will Gretchen ever become a good girl? Jodi Lyn doesn’t think so, although she does say that she’ll help others out if it furthers her goal.

Robert Knepper & Jodi Lyn O’Keefe Interview

August 30, 2008 by Nikki Katz

robert-knepper-t-bag-prison-break-season-4.jpgIGN TV recently sat down with the cast from Prison Break to chat about Season 4!!

Both Robert Knepper and Jodi Lyn O’Keefe think that it’s more fun to pay the bad guys on the show. “It’s the most fun I’ve ever had,” Jodi says. “We get the zingers. We get all the good things to do. I don’t care what anyone tells you, it’s way better to be the bad guy.

Jodi seems genuinely excited to work with Robert. She says the audience loves him. Robert agrees, “Bad people tend to change more than good people. Good people are like, ‘I want my house. I want a fence around it and 2.5 kids and let’s just not change, because I’m scared.’ Bad guys are like, ‘Whatever! Throw something at me! I’m ready for anything!’
