Robert Knepper Talks ‘Heroes’ Role
July 2, 2009 by Nikki Katz
Robert Knepper recently sat down with Digital Spy to talk about his upcoming role on Heroes!
He reveals that his character is like a young Keith Richards. “He’s kind of my role model for it. I don’t know what the hell I’m doing with the accent - I’m trying to put a little bit of a lilt into it. You don’t know if he’s Irish, you don’t know if he’s English… he should be all-worldly. There’s something about it that screams out British or Irish. I don’t want you to ever pinpoint where he’s from and as soon as you think you’ve got it, I’ll change it! I’m having a ball with it. It’s good to play such a crazy character. It’s kind of like a ‘I don’t care’ rock and roll look.”
It’s another evil character, but Knepper says that he doesn’t play evil characters as evil. He plays them as charming! And he says he hasn’t had to kill anyone yet.
Knepper chats about a scene he filmed recently. “A couple of weeks ago, we shot this huge scene where I’m in a carnival and I’m standing next to this thing where you throw the ball and knock over the milk bottles. It’s supposed to be set in the past, like I time travel back 14 years or so into Japan, so all the actors were Japanese-American.”
How long is he signed on to do the show? “Indefinitely.”

Paul Scheuring to Direct ‘The Experiment’
June 19, 2009 by Nikki Katz
Paul Scheuring is reportedly working on a new project with some big name cast members!!
Scheuring is set to direct The Experiment, from his own screenplay adaptation of the 2001 German film “Das Experiment,” which centers on a group of ordinary men recruited to take part in a psychological research study.
The mean are divided up into two groups (guards and prisoners) and put into prison. They are then studied how they react to their assigned roles, and to positions of power and control. Of course experiment goes sour as the guards go drunk with power, and develop authoritarian tendencies, going to great lengths to hide their abusive actions from the researchers in order to keep their power trip going. The prisoners also band together in order to resist, and results in quite a bit of action.
Adrien Brody will play the leader of the rebellious prisoners while Forest Whitaker has been cast as one of the abusive and corrupted guards. Cam Gigandet and Elijah Wood have also signed onto the script.

Jodi Lyn O’Keefe In ‘The Call’?
May 30, 2009 by Nikki Katz
According to IMDb, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe starred in the pilot episode of The Call, slated for 2010. The weird thing is that the pilot was actually filmed in 2007! So I’m not sure if it’s set to air in 2010, or what is going on.
Jodi played the role of Jenna ‘Kinky’ Kincaid and the network describes the show as:
Most people don’t think about first responders until they need one. Nick Adams and Ian Wode are the paramedics you pray for when your life is in peril. Nick is the star paramedic at Aurora Healthco, a private ambulance service in LA. Nick is known as the “The Comeback Kid.” He has a genuine talent for saving lives, which earns him praise from his grateful patients. Meanwhile, his brash demeanor provokes the ire of his budget-conscious boss, Wendy “The Wolf” Wolfram. Ian is Nick’s longstanding partner and confidant. As intelligent as he is neurotic, Ian tries to find a balance between Nick’s “save-’em-at-all-cost” humanity and The Wolf’s iron-clad regulations. And then there’s Tom Timlin, the wide-eyed trainee, caught between his mentors’ brilliance and high-jinx, and never completely sure which way to go. They valiantly patrol the streets of Los Angeles with their competent and bodacious co-worker, Jenna “Kinky” Kincaid. Both tough as nails and soft as velvet, Kinky views Nick as both colleague and competitor. The secret truth is that she’s wildly attracted to him though she would never admit it. Although supremely confident, Kinky has one Achilles’ heel. She tends to lose partners with alarming frequency a fact that Nick will not let her forget.
In each episode, the daring and dysfunctional employees of Aurora Healthco answer “The Call” in real time, with nerves of steel and tongues firmly planted in cheeks. The Creator of “Kitchen Confidential” (David Hemingson) teams with the Emmy-winning Executive Producers of “24″ (Joel Surnow, Robert Cochran, and Howard Gordon) to bring this hilarious, high octane thrill ride to life.”
