Jodi Lyn O’Keefe Talks About Her Prison Break Run!

Jodi Lyn O’Keefe recently chatted with TVGuide about Prison Break and how long her character lasted in the series!
When asked if she was happy that they kept Gretchen alive, and if it was for a reson, Jodi Lyn responds, “Yeah, I do. At the beginning of the year it was touch-and-go. There even was an article about how I was dead for a minute, and then I wasn’t.” Originally Gretchen was supposed to die in Episode 4.01 but the producers changed their mind.
“I’m actually still breathing on-camera — I’m just mortally wounded — so you never know,” Jodi says. It doesn’t appear that she’s coming back in this season, but who knows about a Season 5 or Cherry Hill spinoff!
In the beginning of the season everyone was teased about a Gretchen/T-Bag romance. Jodi says that it was just something they heard. “I heard. They tell us a lot of things, but not always the truth. They learned their lesson with me because apparently I give things away. [Laughs] I don’t mean to, but … I get excited!”
Jodi appreciated the addition of her daughter to the show. She says that it actually made her human, which she appreciated. “You can’t be all-bad all the time. And that little girl was awesome — she looked just me, and she was the sweetest little thing! Her name is Reagan, and she drew me pictures on my birthday.”
For the role of Gretchen, Jodi Lyn had to step out of her comfort zone. “You know, I wasn’t really sure if I could do it or not. I wanted to take a really good shot at it, but it’s unlike anything I’ve ever done before.” But she says that now fans stop her on the streets and say how much they hate her. “That’s great. People must be liking it to say, ‘Hey, you’re awesome. We hate you so much.’”

Gretchen in the Cherry Hill spin-off?! That would be interesting. We did get the impression that she would be going to prison.

In a way i’m glad she’s gone. There really was no purpose for her in this show. I did like how “genuine” she became at the end when she said “I want my life back more than I want your money”. I thought that was cool - then she got shot.
She’ll live - and I wouldn’t be surprised if she came back for the spring finale. After all, she was only “mortally injured” she did not die.

Yea, I had to kinda laugh at the Sara/Lisa part. Sara gets abducted by company men (?) and taken to Lisa, who said the company can not know they spoke. How wierd is that??

Soon you will see that there is different “Company`s” inside The Company, in another words, there is different factions inside The Company, and they are fighting against each others …
The General is the dominant faction and the worst of all. The brothers mom is one of the good persons who`s fighting the General`s power … my opinion !
