Recap

Thanks to David G. for his recap:

It’s been a while since we last left off our heroes, and I am just glad to see that it is back and moving. The gang had Wyatt in their grasp, and Lincoln beat him to a bloody pulp to call the General, but he wouldn’t budge. Michael continued to think up his brilliant plan of retrieving Scylla, but without Gretchen’s half of the book, it could be very difficult. At Gate, T-Bag snuck the gang into the small closet space, so they could all get to work.

After Gretchen killed Blauner, the Gate worker who caught T-Bag as a fraud in the previous episode, things are starting to look shady at Gate as an investigation began. A federal agent asked T-Bag tricky questions, but since T-Bag is sly, he got himself out of that mess. Sooner or later, however, T-Bag knew that his cover would be blown if they continued to dig deeper. So he thought up a brilliant plan, he would take the fraud he was caught with, and frame it on Blauner. Since he knew the company didn’t want to risk being audited by IRS agents, it sorted itself out.

Back at the warehouse, when everyone else was away, Mahone decided it was about time for him and Wyatt to have a little one-on-one time. He wanted revenge for what Wyatt did to his son, and his way of revenge – slow and excruciating torment. Later, after he had his fun, Mahone brought Wyatt to a pier, and pushed him in, holding a block of cement. Seemed a little cartoony to me, but I liked it.

Don Self put together a fake recording of Wyatt, telling the General that everyone had been killed. He did this by putting together bits and pieces of when Wyatt was talking earlier, it was quite ingenious. The General bought it when he was called, but he still wants Scylla moved. After the General got the call Gretchen showed up with a gun raised. With his mind tricks, the General convinced Gretchen that she was still his girl, and then the two shared a nice smooch. (I think I threw up a little in my mouth.) So now we are led to believe that Gretchen is back in the company as the General’s number two girl.

So in Gate’s basement, the problem is a giant pipe that runs through the room. There’s no way above or below, so the only way is through. They were able to stop the water from flowing, but only for an hour, so they could cut through. They were going to place a second pipe in between the the first one, so they could simply crawl through. Michael had another one of his mysterious problems, this time it got worse. He got really dizzy, and had to have Sucre cover for him.

Well the job was almost done, all they had to do was push the pipe through, but it was too heavy, Lincoln and Bellick jumped in to guide it to the other side. At the very last second, the support beam collapsed, and Bellick sacrificed himself to make sure the team got the job done! Wow, Prison Break has gone a long way from its first introduction of Bellick, the bully prison guard that kills inmates cats, to a crying wimp, to a hero! What an explosive come back for Prison Break after it’s short hiatus!

Oh man, this episode was weirdly hard to watch! I really did not want Bellick to die I really felt for the character, he will be missed! And the torture of wyatt ummmm yeah, crazy! And Michael’s health, I need more info, will we ever find out? And that sarah isnt more worried about it… Come on! And what the hell is up with gretchen and the general that is hard to watch and very disturbing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. alia says:

yuk how could she kiss the general

  3. Lincoln Katz says:

    R.I.P Bradley =(

  4. Tara says:

we will miss you brad bellick :(
i almost covered my eyes when the water is rushing down the tunnel at him and he just stands there calmly and closes his eyes.
man, and to think i hated bellick in season 1 and now i cant stand losing him. ^^
i almost started crying when linc was trying to get him to climb out and bellick yelled ‘you`ve got a son!’
i covered my eyes, tho, for the gretchen/padman kiss. my goodness that was…awkward. and just…ew. 0_0
now i cant wait for next week`s episode!

  5. Mazie says:

OMG that was an intense scene! It broke my heart to see Brad go, and like that no less! This was a shocking episode, and probably one of the best yet.

Good for Mahone in getting some retribution – but is wyatt really dead?

Gretchen and Padman kiss – one word comes to mind – EWE!

  6. jelkin says:

ok, that was a great episode. Everyone is sad to see Bellick go but he thought about the team and not himself. He changed his ways coming from a ruthless prison guard to a hero that saved the break in. Mahone got his shot at Wyatt which was great. It was a little disgusting when he out the 5 inch needle into Wyatt’s finger. Gretchen/Padman, ewwwwwww. She’s still working for the good side, I hope. Great episode, one of my favorites.

    JElkin

  7. Ahm says:

Next episode, Self is going to make a surprising ally. Who do you think it’s going to be? Imagine if its Kellerman<3

  8. fletcher says:

    This Episode was great…

but I’m so so sorry for bellick – he was such a poor guy – he had no-one but his mother they should not have let him die that way even if it was heroic, he was somehow cool :/

Lets hope the rest stays alive, of course sarah, michael and linc will but I hope Sucre won’t die he’s the most sympathetic!

  9. Ponut says:

Great episode! Michael is beginning to break my heart, but I loved the part with him and Sucre when they were sitting beside the pipe. It was real.

One thing I have to say bothered me was the part with Mahone and Wyatt, not that Wyatt didn’t deserve it, I just dont like watching torture. it really scares me. I guess that is a good thing though, I’d be more worried if it didn’t bother me

  10. Brandon says:

It was so sad when Bellick sacrificed himself.. It would’ve been Michael trapped in the pipe if he didn’t become weak with his condition. It’s weird, his weakened condition potentially saved his life..
Although if it had been Michael trapped down there, Lincoln would’ve dropped the pipe and grabbed him, screwing up their plans to get Scylla. Then the people who control the water for L.A. would’ve seen the depressurization in the pipe and ordered work to be done down there, messing up anything our team could do to get to Scylla (not to mention there would be tons of gallons of water flying everywhere too..
Question… If this was the way Whistler was going to go to get to Scylla, how the hell would he have done any of that by himself??

  11. Anonymous says:

Whistler was banking on the help of Michael and the others, I believe, which is why he got Mahone and Gretchen involved and attempted to get Michael involved.

  12. Brandon says:

I don’t know about that.. Maybe Whistler was banking on Gretchen and Mahone’s help, but I thought that was just to get the first card at the Stampede banquet.. He also tried escaping from the brothers in S3.. I dunno..
Yeah, I almost barfed when General Krantz kissed Gretchen.. YUK!!! I turned my head away and said ‘ewe’ just like all the rest… disturbing..
She is going to try to get the last card from the General using her feminin ways.. I don’t know about the rest of you, but after I found out that Gretchen didn’t kill Sara, I began to fall for her as a character.. She has so much to bring to the show, I’m sure that’s why they kept her around and killed off Whistler instead.. I like her, she’s a psychopathic freak with Sociopathic tendencies.. Kinda like my girlfriend!!! LOL!!! I hope she and Sara get down and dirty in a cat fight soon… meow!!
Oh Mahone, how I wish you would’ve shot that man in the stomach before you pushed him into the water.. Jeeze!!! He should’ve shot him in the stomach and let him suffer there for a few agonizing minutes before he pushed him in the water.. How do we know that he’s really dead?? A CINDERBLOCK CHAINED TO HIS ARMS MAYBE!!! I’m sorry, but you kinda need your arms to swim.. y’know.. without a huge cinderblock attached to you.. He’s gone, just like Roland, just like Bellick..
Now who’s left.. Michael, Lincoln, Sara, Sucre.. Self, Mahone, T-Bag, and Gretchen.. great team..
Also, I love how T-Bag used his hillbilly mind power on his boss to show the detective the false records.. Brilliant!!! I love T-Bag!!! He always does that!!! He finds ways to either further himself, or keep others off of his back.. Except when it comes to Michael.. He is always outsmarted by him.. What can you do when you go up against a creative genius??
Go up against Michael, and you will lose everytime.. Gretchen might want to look into that little trend before she tries anything, considering Michael outsmarted her in season 3.. that’s it..

  13. Brandon says:

It was so sad to see Lincoln holding his head, with the water exploding all over, as he couldn’t believe that Bellick had stayed.. Lincoln was very concerned about Bellick, you could hear it in his voice, it was crazy.. I felt bad and still feel bad that another poor soul has given their life to this.. It’s so tragic..
Tell me one thing.. Sucre said that Bellick couldn’t hear Michael when he was telling him to get out of the pipe, yet they heard Bellick say push???
    So f’n sad…

  14. Crayola says:

Um… an EWE is a female sheep mazie, I think you meant ugh.

  15. Brandon says:

    excuse me… ugh.

  16. Emma says:

It was nice to see some raw emotion from Linc finally. that was a fantasticlly directed shot with the water spilling over him. It really made the scene!
I thinkpadman is clearly Gretchens baby daddy and yes EWWWWW, that was awkward. I still think she is playing him and maybe the unlikely ally is Lisa?

  17. Brandon says:

    It’s sooooooooo sad…..

I remember Michael walking in through processing and seeing Bellick.. He was so ‘tough-as-nails’ and hated them all. Then through S2 he tried to get over on Michael and Lincoln only to be outsmarted.. He then became unlikely allies with Sucre and Michael towards the end of the season.. It’s amazing how Bellick and Sucre sort of became friends as they were in Sona and on their way to the US..
I remember when Michael and Lincoln were testing Sucre in S1 as they did not trust him yet.. The ‘Cell test’ which obviously had a double meaning.. It was when Lincoln was talking to Bellick about more yard time and some cigarettes, he asked if inmates were allowed to have Cell phones, and then said “do you know a con named Sucre.”
    SO MUCH HISTORY!!!
It’s funny how they’ve all experienced a lot together in only a few short months of the year (cuz remember, they’re still in the year they originally broke out of Fox River, 2005)

  18. G says:

how do you know there in the same year?

  19. anonymous says:

What a boring episode.Yes,william fichtner nailed every single scene.Yes,it was hard to see bellick die.But apart from that, nothing really interesting.Gretch and the generall was ridiculous. And is it really necessary to mention the detail about how cam died?and the torture?well, rating is low again, about 5,24 from 5,8 last time. And hero wasn’t on.

  20. Brandon says:

Prison Break began in March 2005, when Michael put himself in prison with his plan, he made it to Fox River by beginning of April. Lincoln was set for the electric chair on May 11.. After his execution was stayed by a last-minute phone call, he was going to be executed on May 26..
I think they broke out of Fox River a few days before Lincoln’s revised execution date. From there, they were on the run for the beginning of June.. Michael and Lincoln were in Chicago (S2) on June 6th through June 8th in the show. after they messed with Caroline Reynold’s and failed at getting pardons, it took them a week to get down to Panama June 15th. By June 16th, they had already done the things in Panama, and Fin del Camino.. Michael, and Mahone were put in Sona on June 17th, 2005, the same year of the breakout.. They were then in Sona for 2 weeks, before they escaped (July 1).. 3 weeks after they escaped from Sona, Michael was in L.A. and Lincoln was still in Panama with LJ and Sofia.. This puts Season 4 taking place in July 2005, the same year of the two prison escapes..

  21. Nadia says:

Brandon, you’re totally right!I’ve done the math too!Michael was imprisoned on 11th of April 2005 in Fox River, when he fought with Abruzzi and went to Pope’s office to agree to build the Taj.And I found it kinda disturbing that Maricruz gave birth to a baby girl only after 3-4 months of total PB length, but as SWC said at the Paley Center F*** the credibility!

‘anonymous’,are you shy to name yourself? If you don’t like to watch PB then don’t!No one is forcing you to.But I have to admit that the Wyatt torture scenes were too violent and the Gretchen-Padman thing, plainly disgusting. As about the ratings, yesterday was election day.And by the way congratulations to all of you Americans for electing Obama!

  22. Brandon says:

yeah, maybe she got pregnant on a conjigal visit.. General and Gretchen, yeah, disgusting.. I did not think Mahone was too rough on Wyatt, the man killed his son.. I almost thought he should have done more to him.. Shot him before he pushed him into the water.. None have you have ever seen ‘24′ huh?? They torture people for information all the time, or, used to anyway.. We won’t see any ‘24′ until the 23rd of NOV, then it’s back on in January when PB starts again after it’s two-month hiatus.. Bottom line, when you’re a father of a murdered son… there is nothing that is too ‘out-of-bounds’ when it comes to torturing the man who killed your son..
Sad for Bellick, at least they gave him a heroic death..

  23. Agnis says:

that episode felt like season 2 :) love.

  24. Sierra says:

i hated the twist with gretchen and padman. i cant get that image of the 2 of them out of my head. how much older than her do you suppose he is? eww! i also think gretchen needs to take out lisa. lisas a decent baddie and all but the tension between them is great and id love to see them fight to the death – since it doesnt look like we’re going to see sara and gretchen try and kill each other soon. and my heart broke for bellick – that was a good ending to his story, very heroic! i m going to miss wade williams on the show. oh and one last thing that annoyed me was that mahone once again killed a man – wyatt deserved it but i thought alex had grown to be better than that. and i dont like how they just cut sara and self out of the kast half of the episode. i thought there could have been some interesting conflict between mahone and sara over wyatts fate. anyone think that would have been good? they could banter over it next episode??

  25. Brandon says:

maybe sara and mahone will have tension between them in the next episode over wyatt’s apparent death.. and of course the way he went about it.. could be interesting I think.

  26. Jim says:

On the reality scale, it is still about a 3, but I am hooked and continue to watch. Wyatt better not come back or I may have to watch reruns of Golden Girls. Gretchen, think she is looking for any port in a storm. I think once she finds out the boys are alive, she will turn to good versus evil. Bellick, has any character gone through more changes in one TV show… taking one for the team

  27. Sherry says:

I don’t agree with u Nadia about torture scene.Waytt deserved that ,he killed a little kid,Bruce and he tortured Roland b4 killing him.I felt satisfied about his end.

  28. Sherry says:

I like the part when Michael was looking at Sarah, feeling so worry about her when she was talking to Wytte and Self told him not 2 worry because he is locked in and told him 2 go.Then Michael looked again at him and at his hands, and he said he’s a professional killer.Which means Michael can never trust what would happen.Michael always looks so cute when he is worry about Sarah.By the way can anyone plz explain 2 me the part when Sucre said something and Michael put the flashlight over his face, smiles and says something 2 him.I didn’t understand what did Sucre or Michael say.

  29. Nadia says:

Sherry, maybe you’re right, but I found it too much even for killing a little kid,so I guess he got what he deserved.I didn’t like the acting of Cress Williams either,so…

  30. Nadia says:

Sucre said that they had to go towards the noise, but they didn’t knew at that point that it was the water flow, but they knew or hoped that this was their way to Company’s Headquarters and Scylla and he smiled ‘coz he wants to get over with it and go back to Maricruz and his daughter and Michael smiled back at him ‘coz he realized that they are close to getting Scylla and freedom of all charges and no jail time are close too.I hope I helped,Sherry!

  31. Sherry says:

Thanks so much Nadia.Of course u helped very well.
