“how far gone is Michael Scofield?”

i love that someone FINALLY admitted it [and the references to S1 were great]

    ah, i loved this episode!
i burst out laughing when sucre had to go to the cardholder guy XD
especially love everyone picking on roland. he`s such a nerdy kid.”VEGAS BABY!” “shut up roland” “I CALL SHOTGUN!” “shut up roland!” XD
ah, but then he lost the card stealing device!
if i were linc and sara i would`ve made him go back and get it and heck with roland getting out in jail.

ah, two weeks to wait? :( oh well…
even if we have to wait 2 weeks, it just means the director is making things better for us, no?

Oh my goodness…. that was quite a good episode. Definately got interesting when T-bag had them all and he was threatening the girl. “How far gone IS Michael Scofield?” Great dialogue, I have to give it to them. I also too love all the little S1, S2, and S3 references they put into the dialogue.. It’s so unique.
I think Michael could have escaped too when Mahone fled from T-bag, but he didn’t for some reason. I thought it was great that as soon as Mahone got away, he was right back to playing Agent and tracking them down. The best and most fantastic part of the whole episode was when Michael took the GATE page of the book and folded it into a little swan. It was so perfect!! Mahone used it to get to GATE and save Michael, GENIUS!!! I love this show, the dialogue and the action/suspense sequences. Roland is a little nerd, but I do have to admit, he had me laughing when he was making fun of Sucre. He’s dumb, however, for losing the device.
The only thing I felt was missing from the end was the surprise for the viewers. We all knew that Gretchen was in on it, but Michael didn’t know. So when he got on the phone it was only a ‘cliffhanger scenario’ for him, we knew that it was her and that kinda stole some of the twist-factor. It would have been a little different and more twistful if WE didn’t even know it was Gretchen until Michael found out. That’s all, more later. LOVED IT!!!

This last episode was very suspensful and had a classic Prison Break standoff moment with T-Bag threatening the girl in front of Michael.

I thought Linc said to Sara in season 1 that his mother died of liver cancer relatively young when Sara asked him about his family history, why now in season 4 Linc said his mother died of aneurysm due to a brain tumor? Metastasis??

  • Brandon
    Oct 7, 2008 at 7:42 am

that is a relavent statement, i mean, he DID tell Sara that their mom died of liver cancer when he was young, back when Sara first found out that Lincoln and Michael were brothers. It’s understandable that Michael would inherit certain things from their Mom, and Lincoln from their father. But it’s true what you said ALLY, all the sudden it’s a brain tumor. I don’t think brain tumors are hereditary, or are they??

yes I was wondering if the writers remember the liver cancer statement in season 1. ????? And I love this season and can’t to see where the writers take us next!

Brandon, some cancers can be hereditary but the liver cancer and aneurysm from brain tumor are inconsistent. May be the writers forgot that they had mentioned liver cancer in S1. I guess they can still get away with it by saying that the cancer has spread, but that will negate the hereditary element of brain tumor.

Once again, great dialogue, this time between Mahone and Self. I love when the writer’s bring up sh!t that happened in previous seasons. When Mahone is describing his pursuit of Michael, he admits that even the most vile convicts couldn’t escape him, but a structural engineer from Chicago was able to outsmart him [sort of]. I love that Self doesn’t know what he’s doing enough to ask Mahone what his ‘play’ should be. They were obviously referring to their situations with Wyatt and Krantz. Mahone tells Self to get ‘aggressive’, so he faces the General with a bunch of files he sent to lawyers in case anything happened to him. I love how Mahone says “He took the fight to me.” [referring to Michael in S2] simply brilliant writing.

I hope our smarty-pants Michael doesn’t end up with the same fate as his mother. That would be really sad..

I love the EXTREME foreshadowing in S1 after Michael was getting his toes checked the 2nd time. He tells Sara about how Lincoln used to tell him not to fear the dark. Lincoln told Michael, when he was little, that “fear isn’t real… it isn’t anything.. It’s just air, not even that.” He would go on to say that he “…can’t be afraid, he has to face his fears, he would have to face the monster in the closet.” And that as soon as he would open the closet door the monster behind it would disappear.
Michael would continue to tell Sara that “in this place, [Fox River], when he opened that door and faced his fear, there would be a hundred more doors behind it… and the monsters behind those doors… they’re all real.”
That couldn’t be more true on the show, looking at it through all 4 seasons. Those monsters would be T-Bag, Mahone (S2), avoiding the authorities, Bill Kim, Gretchen, Lechero, Krantz, Wyatt. I’m sure there’s a bunch more that I don’t care to name off. But again, another brilliant showing of how good these writers are.

Is it just me or does it look like Wentworth Miller has gained some major bulk? Not so much fat but more bulk and muscle…he looks almost like a beefcake now compared to season1.

    Looooved it!!
I think it’s one of the best episodes of S4!!
Who can wait 2 weeks to see a new episode?!?

Hey Linc said to Sara that Michael just turned 31.
But according to the paper that Michael completed when he went to Fox River he was 27 years old.
Since S4 takes place only 3-4 months later than S1 how comes Michael is 31???

I agree it was a great episode. But I thought a that their mom died of cancer too. And I also thought Michael was younger. I think the Tbag Michael dynamic is really very good. It reminds you of S1

great episode does. wonder what will happen with roland seems like the type of guy that will turn and call the guy thats trying to kill them all every episode they all give him shit just matter of time before he calls him and makes a deal.. whats with that chick and cutting peoples head off weird.. t-bag never learns not to mess with Ms haha its funny. alex is by far my fav. character love his lines. like how does that sound. cant wait till he gets even with the wit guy.. brad finally found a girl looks like haha… oh in season one was always curious on why it went from a riot because of heat to them laying down salt for ice and it snowing in like two episodes later and all in one month.. seems like the writers forget what they write sometimes… anyone know the name of the song that was playing when sucre was walking near the pool

I kinda miss them being in the chase…don’t get me wrong..i love prison break!!! However, I am glad that they have most of the cards now, cuz the whole idea was getting played out with most episodes being revolved around getting these cards.
There was something about seasons 1 and 2 that I loved…not sure what it besides maybe the breaking outand the chase? Anybody else kinda understand what I’m saying? haha
    Anyways, gotta go!

I miss the chase too, there was some element in the beginning of S4, then it slowed to them having the advantage and pulling operations to retrieve the card data. I love the chase scenes in the series, on foot and in a car, They’re so exciting!!!
I thought Michael was 30 when he was encarcerated at Fox River. Lincoln never said that Michael WAS 31, he said Michael’s JUST turning 31, meaning his birthday is soon.

I love the action music they play during a suspenseful chase scene in a car or on foot. Even when a character is just looking for something, like Mahone in 4.07 when he was searching Cole Pheiffer’s house for Michael, the music is awesome!!
