Whistler’s Escape:
Director Bobby Roth takes us through the “gigantic” helicopter scene – 2 helicopters, 5 cameras, and a rainstorm! In the sequence there are two helicopters. One to cover and fire on the guards, and one to lower the rope to Whistler. They showed them the entire scene, the construction crane, etc. Roth’s major concern was safety – if nobody left the day injured it was going to be a good idea!
Roth chats about the filming being “a group thing” – special effects, stunts, and props. “The whole team gets together on these things. ” And there are cameras everywhere to film different angles.
Chris Vance and Wentworth Miller also get a chance to chat about the change in Whistler’s character, filming of the scene, and Wentworth taking a beating!

- Do you think this episode showed Whistler changing into a “bad guy”?
- Was the helicopter scene effective in terms of intensity or was it sort of anti-climatic since nobody actually escaped?

I love this clip on the directors take, its one of my favs, watched it ages ago & thought Went & Chris were funny. They have great chemisrty together ( not in any gay sort of way!), especially Wents comment at the end!!

I love the part where Chris was complimenting Went and he responded with ‘thank you’s.
You know, Chris Vance in real life looks like a real sweetheart…
Went’s comment at the end is about Sara isn’t it?

Hey son44, i agree with you about Chris Vance, he is really a sweet guy and he doesn’t fit to be in the company. He just looks too good to be bad if you know what i mean.

Hey sona44 & Mahmuda. How you guys doing? I’m good thanx. Wents last comment at the end is about sara. Thought it was hilarious bless him! showing his cheeky side! I also like the ‘thank u’s’ bit too. Chris does seem like a genuine sweetie bless him. I so wanna work on that set!!!
No news yet Mahmuda on the price reduction :-( will keep ya updated on that one. Cheapest i’ve seen it is on play.com. We’ll see, maybe by the time its my birthday it’ll be cheaper! ;-)
