Prison Break Buff

So Where Has Dr. Sara Been All This Time?

by Nikki on March 28th, 2008

Ever since the news was released yesterday that Sarah Wayne Callies is coming back for Prison Break Season 4, I’ve been trying to figure out what her character has been up to all this time. Since they’ll be filming in Los Angeles, I’m guessing Michael will follow Susan B. back to the States and connect with Sara there … but what do you think she’s been up to?

The obvious guess is that Susan B. and the company have had her in captivity. And Matt Olmstead alluded to this when he said that there’s the “period that’s unaccounted for, so what happened to her, what happened to him and hope they both help each other get past that, get past these … invisible barriers.

But the question then becomes - do you think they tortured her or had her set up in some posh hotel while they dealt with Sona? And do you think she escapes or is set free?

I don’t know. I don’t see why they would have torturend her, but I don’t think she was treated very well. I als keep wondering, did she escape and run or did bitchy Susan have her all along. I also keep wondering if the season will start off with the two of them together or if they will have to find each other. Can’t wait!! They better be together the whole season.

Maybe she’s going to develop a case of Stockholm syndrome

Is she back on drugs and maybe hanging out with bad people?

She`s in Company`s hands in order to serve to atract Michael to some sord of a trap, … but beeing hosted, meanwhile, she was able to learn some secrets about the Company.
She`s being whith the Padman at that place were the Company do some “cientifical experiments” … you now, where were those cientists in white closes with the dogs …

Maybe Sara escaped her captives and an embarrassed Gretchen sent Linc the “fake” head to scare him into thinking she would do the same to L.J. Therefore Linc, not realizing it was NOT Sara’s head, just assumed it was and told Mike.

Meanwhile, Sara is running for her life but afraid to contact Mike in fear that Gretchen will kill L.J. So Sara stays quiet and lives on the streets amongst the prostitutes and addicts. In order to support herself, she becomes an exotic dancer and tries her best not to start using drugs again. She disguises herself in a blond wig every night when performing on stage.

One night Linc persuades Mike to join him at the club for a drink. Mike finally gives in after protesting, and low and behold he sees Sara performing there. At first Mike cannot believe his eyes! He thinks he’s imagining things, but soon he discovers it is really Sara! At first Sara is thrilled to see him, but then she wants no part of him. So Mike has to convince Sara to leave that life and run off with him. But he has quite a time persuading her since she is now broken inside.

I think this would be a compelling story.

I still think it would be a gut wrenching twist if Sara has been part of The Company this whole time!!!!!

in my opinion, the company would have guessed that michael would go back on his word when he got lj, and would have tried to capture whistler again. i think that the company kept her alive, so that if mike captured whistler again, gretchen would still have a barganing chip left….

I love your idea, It’s Prison Yo! That would really relaunch Sara in spectacular style.

Sara was Saved by kellerman and were watching the show from behind.

I can’t wait to see how the writers writer their way out of this one! If I was to use my overactive imagination, I would concur with many others who believe that Kellerman has something to do with her survival. Perhaps the people that rescued him, had a hand in helping her. I am also wondering about the origami rose that was conveniently left behind for LJ to find. Perhaps Sara wrote a clue in the folds, something like a webaddress or email address in case that rose was found and returned to it’s creator. Maybe Sara had the forethought about how she could get in touch with Michael should he escape from Sona and should she survive her own ordeal. Well, whatever they come up with, I can’t help but dance a jig of glee at the return of our beloved girl!

    Forget what I told before.
I`ve just read Matt`s Olmested interview on Kristin dos Santos site and seems to me very probable that Bean (who just posted before me) has made one right guess.
The Origami Rose probably has something to do to the way how Michael is going to find Sara.
It probably caries a message (”a message from beyond” remember ?).
Is going alone in his car, with the rose and the gun, he`s not going to seek revenge … his going to find Sara … and he already nows were to look for her …

K well all good ideas but if remember correctly, L.J was there when the killed “Sara”. What ever happened to that, are the just going to try to cover up the episode of season 3 that she got “killed”? i will be very VERY impressed if the producers can cover all this up and not look like idiots. The idea of her back is awsome but i really wanna see how the pull it off.

You have a very good point there Dan! I’m sure LJ said they killed sara in the same room but he couldn’t watch! probably end up playing on the fact that LJ didn’t actually see. just hope they don’t mess it up. Love PB, would hate to see it all go tits up with a silly story line!! fingers crossed that they know what they’re doing, as i confident that they do!

Loving everyones ideas! Keep ‘em coming!

Remember at the end of season 2, PadMan was in what looked like a science lab talking about Michael. I thought they were going to go somewhere with that, but it was never mentioned again. Well maybe Sara has been there and they have been doing somekind of experiments on her. The producers did say that she wasn’t in a good place, so that may tie in.

On a side note I hope it doens’t take half the season for him to find her. From the way I read the interview we may get our reunion really soon though. I can’t wait!! :)

I’m wondering if Susan/Gretchen let Sara go, when it came down to it she couldn’t follow Company orders and decapitate Sara, or if Sara got control of the situation and escaped? I’m hoping for the second. I want to see a strong Sara who can take care of herself! JMO :) I really want to know what has been going on with her while she was presumed dead!

I’m with Ashley! I don’t want it to take a season for MiSa to be reunited! I also don’t want to see them together right when the season starts. I wanna see it play out! Depending on how they are writing this, I think 4 episodes or so should do it. Any more than that I think I’m going to have to bang my head into a wall!

She’s dead - MiSa fans heartbroken.
Then, Oh she’s alive! - Yay! Party time!
BUT you’ll have to wait half a season to get anything. *rolls eyes*

I’m going to wait and watch first before I really say anything. I don’t think SWC would have returned if it wasn’t something worth tuning into every week. Crossing fingers and hoping for the best!

I like It’s Prison Yo’s theory! I’m really excited for this season. I want see our fab 4 kick butt and bring down the Company!

I dont like the idea that Lincoln “did not saw that it wasn`t `Sara´s head in teh box”. It´s look like Lincoln is an idiot.
I think it wood be mutch more credible if Lincoln knew all the time it wasn`t Sara`s head in the box.
    Why ?
There can be several possibilities for that, and all very good and plausibles, and this wood even had the advantage of adding conflict between the brothers.

I wonder if they’ll make a flashback on how Susan got the scratch on her face in the beginning of season 3. I’m still thinking it was Sara that was scratching the shit out of Susan/Gretchen.

Me thinks Season 4 would be a classic… Me wants to savour the moment Mike sees Sara T very much alive… Me has faith in them writers… That’s why me all-time favourite show is Prison Break..!

    @ Jasmin:
I don’t think it’s impossible for Linc to recognize Sara. Considering that they are in Panama -in hot conditions-, a body will swallow like a balloon within a day.

So…They gave into the fans and resurrected Dr. Sara.
This can only be good if they have a tight story to explain it. Season 4 better be a hell of a finale.

So the show really does come down to the basics,
just to have a little faith.

    I cant wait for august.

I still don’t get it. then who’s head was in the box earlier in the season?

  • ac
    Mar 31, 2008 at 7:39 am

mysterious experiments - padman - “clones” - fake - sara’s head - box - hot conditions - unrecognisable but similar to sara’s … ok, crazy, but could be an explanation

  • Bean
    Mar 31, 2008 at 9:08 am

People, I can’t really follow what you are all saying about Linc being able to identify Sara’s remains, but take it from a nurse who has been present at many deaths - people often do not resemble themselves after death.

    Question:

In the interviews it sounds like Michael and Sara meet up pretty soon in the 4th season.. So, does this still mean that the season will follow Michael’s ‘dark side’?

  • mya

It doesn’t make sense that Sara would have been in league with The Company all along. After all, they killed her father, tortured her, and tried to kill her too. And why would she have helped Lincoln get out of prison? Why would she have shot Kim?

Sara’s one of the good guys. And she loves Michael, so she’s not going to switch sides.

  • Erin
    Apr 4, 2008 at 5:50 am

yeah i don’t like the idea of her working for the company either.
The only reason why she would of helped get lincoln out is so they could kill him(company)
Company has gone after family of others in the company(like linc and michaels dad)
Maybe she was at one point and decided against it??
But as far as i’m concerned i would really not like that story line at all L (

Sara’s in prison. They have to put the “prison” back in “prison break”. Ang they need to introduce the stupid spinoff “Cherry Hill”. She’s in prison and frequently sees a prison doctor — a shrink — who turns out to be Gretchen/Susan B. And they’re actually pretty close.

Hi everybody. Thats for sure that Michael went to find Sarah at last epis of season 3. I agree with the guy who sad that origami has something inside. I think Company held Sarah but they lost her. So now Sarah is somewhere some place I do not know.. just hiding from Company. Lets see!! But what about SUCRE !! HE is one of the BEST

  • aio
    May 25, 2008 at 4:50 am

sara keeps the “prison” in prison break as she is kept by the Company. but it’s her choice, she negotiated with susan and got herself hired. she is part of the Company now but not for long as she only wants to destroy it with or without michael. she knows its a matter of time she will meet up with michael and end the Company.

Me thinks my brother will hold out well in Sona. He’ll enjoy the praises his inmates thrown for him. Tbag aside, let’s talk about our Sara. Well, we Bagwells have this flair in thinking logically and practically: Sara is alive and well according to my sources. Well because she’s kicking. Well because there’s still hope for Michael. Well because lots of us are dyingly in love for the couple. See, we Bagwells never hold grudge against Scofield for bringing Teddy inside Sona. Just wanna let Tbag’s fans know that his twin brother is happy to know he’s alive. Yours congenially, Thomas “Tbag” Bagwell.
