Prison Break Season 4 - Michael’s Dark Side

by Nikki on March 21st, 2008

In a recent interview with BBC, Wentworth Miller said that Prison Break Season 4 will reveal the dark side of Michael.

Michael at this point is making a very dark turn now that Sara’s dead,” he said.

I think the question of how far across the line a good man can go before you can no longer call him good, is one that I’m looking forward to answering.

Wentworth also revealed that he and his co-stars have signed contracts for seven seasons of Prison Break!! That said, Wentworth hopes it doesn’t run for that long. “I’m all for pulling the plug on our terms, you know, before someone else does it for us.

Wentworth also gave a quick recap of some of the fan mail he gets…

It’s very sweet to open up a personalised CD, or I happen to mention Oreo cookies in one interview and then I get a whole bag full.

As well as the mail from kids, girls and fans of the show, Wentworth said he also gets letters from real inmates from time to time.

I just don’t like the idea of Michael turing into a bad person, even though it might be for the right reasons. I think it just strays so far from the orginal story and the personality they story has set up for Michael. Plus Sara wouldn’t have wanted him to be a killer. I think 7 season would just be dumb, it wouldn’t be pb anymore…how could it.

7 seasons in & out of prison is too much.
4 or 5 is good enough.
I can imagine one of the brothers dying in the series finale.
Knowing the writers’ tendency in eliminating favourite characters from the show.
However, the series finale should attract plenty of viewers. Most watched episode in the US in TV history.
Apart from AI, which I don’t follow.

    Then.
What would happen to all the PB cast?
    Other series?
    Spin-offs perhaps?
    Think Theodoro.
    Jump into films?
    Or vanish without a trace?!
All speculations no doubt in our minds.

i agree with dogloverkd. I know that the characters are constantly evolving in the show, yet having just rewatched season 1 i really hope that Wentworth Miller doesn’t allow Michael to lose himself too much.

We all fell in love with the loyal, compassionate Michael. If he become evil then the show might as well just get cancelled. I love PB, but i love it for Michael and his strong sense of right and wrong.

Seeing Michael’s character change would be worse than the death of Sara.

I was hoping that Sara will be back at the show in some how,but now that she is really dead and i’m forced 2 accept it that way,i want Micheal cut Susan B into pieces.Seven seasons means more death, which i’m tired of seeing.5 seasons would have been better cos it gives the feeling that Micheal’s suffering is coming to an end.To lose any of the brothers at the end of the show will be very bad.Sucre’s life should also be considered cos it seems the writer enjoys eliminating the interesting characters.

I like scofield s personnality in PB and i am one of his fans, but I was very surprised when I read that he transform to a bad person in the forth season, we can say that Susan deserve her death, but…Is wentworth going to kill her soon?
It s impossible because went is a good person.
And I hope that another one can do this.

I guess if Michael is really determined to bring down The Company, in particular Susan, he would have left his old self in Sona.
In a way, it would be interesting.
He will become more ruthless, like Alex.
Death does change you as a person.

I also think Linc will ultimately help him.
‘Cos Michael abandoned their original escape plan in order to rescue LJ in 2.02.
    Linc owes him one.
    Or two.
    Maybe even more!
He won’t just dump him for a normal life with LJ & Sofia.
Unless Dom wants to leave PB.
    Which is highly unlikely.

I’ve read all your comments guys.
And i feel kinda sad that yes Michael will turn to the dark side just to avenge for the death of his lover, Sara.
I mean it’s a good thing to take the comapny down for everything they have done to innocent people but if Scofield does this in the fourth season then i am clueless at how PB will continue to do another 3 or 4 seasons.
After all Prison Break is not a happily-ever-after program. There’s always cliffhangers.

Wentworth said his contract is for 7 seasons, but he is willing to lessen it. He said he thinks Season 4 will be the last. Possibly a Season 5, but he doesn’t see it going any longer.

He wants PB to end because the storyline has been exhausted, not because the show is cancelled or the writing is no longer any good.

Makes sense to me. I personally think the show will end after Season 4. You can only break out of so many prisons.

I think it is right for person to be like that , as you know every coin has two sides so is the micheal. so I think you keep on your working to make him like that .but 7 season is too long .

Michael Scolfield is supposed to be the actor in this film how come the Directors made a mess of him when they were stranded in the middle of the sea (nowhere) and he had no clue of what to do before the McGredy’s father came to the rescue? Pls I need an answer. Thank you. My friends are debating on this.

I really don’t hope that Michael’s gonna turn into a bad guy, he’s the best as the good guy he is right now.

Although, that was said a time ago, and he was gonna become on “his dark side” cause Sara died and he needed revenge. Now Sara is back, for season 4, that wasn’t her head in that box, and so I don’t know if he’ll turn evil. I sure as hell do not hope so anyway.

7 seasons are too many, the story will get boring in the end as some characters will be dying along the way!!!! brad bellick should go though, i dont want to see him in season 4.
