William Fichtner - Respectable Odds in Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race

by Nikki on March 20th, 2008

Did you know that William Fichtner is set to join the Toyota Pro/Celebrity race at the Long Beach Grand Prix? He’ll be up against sports stars, a boy-band member, and a guy who helped cook up “Ratatouille.”

Here are Bill’s odds…

William Fichtner, 2-1: Fichtner plays an FBI agent on the TV show “Prison Break.” That perfectly describes the first lap of any race at Long Beach. If he can duplicate what his character does on the TV show, Fichtner will do fine in the race.

The race is the world’s longest-running, most successful celebrity racing event and airs Saturday, April 19.

I believe Bill Fichtner’s parents rented athe upstairs of my parents’ house in North Merrick when they were expec ting Bill, and his father was stationed at Mitchel Field in East Meadow. If his parents are still alive, I would love to know if they remember Minie Pooley…. the best woman in the world, who was my mother, but mother to everyone she met, too! I remember that baby Billy, my sister Nancy was 2 years old at the time and I was 7. Ironically, in 1984 as a military wife I landed up living in Mitchel Manor Housing myself! It cab’t be another Bill Fichtner born at what was once known as Meadowbrook Hospital in East Meadow. Pleased let me know if I am correct.
