Amaury Nolasco on Prison Break Season 4!
While visiting the set of Nimrod Antal’s upcoming heist thriller Armored, MovieWeb got a chance to chat with one of its stars, Amaury Nolasco.
Of course the first question on everyone’s mind was when are they heading back to begin filming?
“From what I hear, we are going back in May,” Amaury said. “I don’t know if you saw the cliffhanger. I’m back in prison. Its going to be pretty exciting. My girl is still pregnant. It’s the longest pregnancy in TV history. People forget that with our time line, it has only been two weeks. The whole series, since season one, has been three months. If you think about it, she still has six more months to be pregnant.”
Amaury is very proud of his character. “Fernando is the ultimate friend. It is a beautiful relationship that he has with Michael. That is very rare nowadays. That you would take the plunge for your boy. Not only that, the third season had a whole new experience because there was a relationship with me and Lincoln. It was built up there. It’s one of those shows.”
But just how many times can they end up in prison?
“I don’t know what is going to happen,” Amaury says. “I don’t know what is going on in the mind of the writers. I don’t think we will be going back too many more times. I don’t know. But the writing is so good that as an actor, I just get out of the way. I let the writers speak.
And unfortunately Amaury didn’t have any spoilers!
“I don’t like to know what is going to happen,” Amaury relates. “I like to read as they go, script wise. I know that T-bag is still inside. And so is Bellick. There is definitely going to be a relationship there, going on. I don’t like to know what is going to happen. I take it script-by-script and let it develop.”

this is more good news!! thats 3 people who have said that theres going to be a season 4!! robert knepper amauray nalasco and dominic purcell! it would be very suprising if there wasnt!! what happens to sucre tho? surley theres gotta be a good ending for him!!?! and t-bag! hes such a good actor and chractor!!

Yep, that’s 3 now who said there will be a Season 4.
Gonna have to still have Sona in the picture, cuz we need to keep Sucre & TBag on the show. They’re my 2 favs, after Michael.

he means season 3 was two weeks because if i understand correctly michael and lincoln were in panama for like a week before the chaos of the last 2 episodes of season 2 and mahone spend that week hiding from everybody

Amaury said “I don’t know if you saw the cliffhanger.”. I think he knows that the season left off without the proper closure and that the remaining 9 episodes wouldv’e delivered. Damn it! I’d rather have the ending that the writers originally intended for us to see especially since the season was already written and planned out while they were still fiming the Sona breakout. I doubt that the real cliffhanger will arrive Season 4 Ep.9. I think this will change the pace of the show and I really hope that episodes 14-22 are continued and they stick to the original script and finish off the chapter they have already started. Or maybe the spin-off that they have been talkin about could be 9 episodes long. I DO NOT LIKE THE IDEA OF A SPIN-OFF but I think 9 episodes for this kind of an idea is the only acception. I couldn’t watch it if it was any longer than that, less than half a season would be enough to tie in whatever side story they want.
Prison Break has not been picked up for Season 4 yet so why can’t Fox work something out with the original Season 3 contract for the complete 22 episode package now that the strike is over? I would love a 31 episode contract (9+ another 22). I just the writers to stick to the original script and not prolong what would’ve happened in 9 episodes to take place in 22 episodes from now. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A SONA/T-BAG SPIN-OFF IF ANY IS MADE AT ALL. Besides, filming 9 episodes would air a lot earlier than season 4 and I cannot wait…
