Recap
Michael and Lincoln jump in a car and take off after Whistler. It’s the classic car chase – swerving through traffic, hitting cars, running traffic lights… finally Whistler stops and jumps out. Michael and Lincoln chase him on foot. Whistler runs into an alley and hides behind a wall. He borrows a cell phone and calls Susan B. “You need to come and pick me up,” he says
Lincoln appears out of nowhere and slams him into the ground. He grabs the phone. Susan B. tells him that nothing better happen to Whistler. She says that she’s ready to do the exchange.
Michael says that we’ll figure something out. Whistler says that he was doing that so that nobody else would get hurt. They hear sirens and start to run.
McGrady and his father approach the roadblock. McGrady says he can’t go back to Sona. “You are not going back to Sona,” his father says.
He stops at the authorities. McGrady is no longer in the passenger’s seat. They ask him if he has seen any of the escapees from Sona. He looks at the pictures and denies recognizing any of them. The officer tells him to pull over so they can inspect the vehicle.
Sucre is on the floor, his face bleeding. The guards ask him about Michael but he swears that he doesn’t know where they are.
Michael calls Susan B. and says there has been a change in venue. She tries to discourage the public place but Michael gives her ten minutes. “Be alone,” he says.
T-Bag comes strolling back into the prison. The courtyard is in chaos. Paper is being thrown everywhere. Some of the inmates are beating up Lechero. T-Bag throws everyone off Lechero. Together he and Bellick lead Lechero up to his lair. It’s ransacked. Lechero pulls out a gun from his secret stash and threatens the inmates. “Hey, this is my house,” he shouts. “Out!”
“He’s going to get us killed,” Bellick says. “He’s going to get us out of here,” T-Bag replies.
Mahone walks into a bar, sporting a hat and some sweat. He asks for a club soda. The bartender asks what he does back in the States. Mahone says he’s in between jobs but hopefully something is right around the corner. He looks out the window at the Banco Sol.
Sucre is led into the prison gate. They strip him of his cell phone and throw him a shovel. “What’s this for?” he asks. They tell him that he’s going to offer up some information or it’s going to be his funeral. He says he doesn’t know where Michael is and starts to dig.
Susan B. sits down across from Michael at a restaurant. She asks where Whistler is. “You know, you’re the first to ever break out of Sona,” she says. He asks where they are. She tells him that he’s intelligent. And that maybe he wouldn’t have to worry about the company trying to kill him if he were on their side. “They certainly pay well,” she says. “Give me Whistler and I’ll give you L.J.”
Lincoln has a sniper pointing at the back of his head. He gets up and leads Whistler away. Susan B. gets upset, she wants to know why they aren’t doing the exchange. He says this isn’t the exchange, just a confirmation that everyone is still alive.
“When this is all over, you better run for your life,” she replies.
McGrady’s father steps out of the truck. They tell him to open the back and remove the tarp. He tries to stall but they say they will impound the truck. He pulls it aside. “It’s fertilizer,” he says. The authorities tell him to go.
McGrady crawls up from the back of the truck. “One more stop,” his father says.
Lechero isn’t looking so good. Bellick says there is a storm brewing in the yard. T-Bag tells Lechero to put the gun down and dumps alcohol in Lechero’s wound. Lechero says that T-Bag was the last one he expected to see at his side. “I am not trying to hurt you, I a trying to save you,” T-Bag says. Lechero replies and says that his life is in jeopardy just being with him. T-Bag says that one of the guards offered him a chance to buy his freedom. Lechero says the guard was lying. T-Bag says that there is a new colonel out there and he needs some money. “No,” Lechero says.
Michael calls Susan B. and tells her to meet them at the Museum of Antiquities and she has five minutes.
She comes strolling up with everyone. The first thing she sees is a metal detector. She hands off her gun. L.J. smiles. Susan asks him what is so funny. “You,” he says. “Thinking you can outsmart my uncle.”
Michael calls her again. She says that there is no more stops.
T-Bag walks up with the last bottle of rum. “How much do they want,” Lechero asks. “50,000,” T-Bag says. Lechero says that even if he has the money, who would he trust to bring it in? T-Bag leans in and says there is one person.
Everyone meets up at the museum. “As soon as we get L.J., you get Whistler,” Michael says. “But L.J. comes to us first.”
Susan B. motions him forward. Lincoln and L.J. hug. Whistler steps forward and gives Sofia a hug. “Thank God you’re safe,” he says. L.J. hugs Michael.
“What about the coordinates,” Sofia says. Whistler tries to get her to leave. She tells him to give her the other half of the paper now. “Welcome to the real world,” Susan B. says.
“There are no coordinates,” Susan B. says.
Sofia starts to cry.
“Sofia,” Whistler says. “Come on.”
Sofia steps away.
“James, stop kidding yourself. It’s time to leave,” Susan B. says. She then turns and asks Michael what he’s still doing here.
Michael says that she probably has agents with guns at all exits. He then proceeds to knock one of the display cases and tells her that they are all walking out together. Whistler begs Sofia to let him explain.
Back at Sona Sucre continues to dig a hole. He is told to lie down. “All this because I knew Michael Scofield?” he yells. Sucre lies down and the guards begin to throw dirt over him.
T-Bag walks around with the bird book in his pocket. He picks up the cell phone and says they will be there shortly. “Once we have the money, how do we get it to the guard?” Lechero asks. “We don’t,” T-Bag says. Bellick says that was the plan. “This is the plan,” Lechero says as he eyeballs T-Bag. T-Bag then tells Bellick to help him hold Lechero down.
Lechero shakes his head, downs some alcohol, and hands T-Bag the pillow. “Out of respect, make it quick,” he says.
T-Bag smothers him as Bellick shakes in the corner. Lechero dies and drops the handkerchief.
Whistler is frisked as they exit the museum. The guards ask for his identification. One of the guys comes out and shoots. It’s pandemonium. Sofia is shot. Whistler tries to go back to her but Susan B. leads him away. Lincoln goes up to her but L.J. tries to pull her away.
Michael strolls over as Whistler threatens Susan B. and grabs her by the throat. Whistler turns and gets in the van. Michael pulls a gun on Susan B. One of the museum guards shoots the van.
“Stop the van,” Whistler says. “I can’t leave her.” Susan B. tells him no. She then asks if he has everything but he says the book is gone.
Meanwhile L.J. tells Lincoln that he has to go. He says he will stay with her and starts yelling for help.
The nun meets T-Bag. He asks her to hold the money for a few days. He threatens her not to spend the money. She obviously is attracted to men that she believes to have some sort of power in the prison! “I’ll wait for you,” she says.
McGrady’s father stops the truck. They get out and walk into a courtyard. It’s a party!
Sucre continues to get dirt thrown over his face as his body is buried. “This isn’t working,” the colonel says. “Toss him inside.” The cell phone rings and the guard tells Sucre to find out where they are.
“Sucre, thank God,” Michael says. Sucre asks if they have L.J. and Lincoln. He says that he is fine. He drops the phone and steps on it.
T-Bag stands in the middle of the courtyard. “Lechero is dead,” he yells. “I come before you now, to bury a man, not to praise him.” He raises a roll of money and says that it is the last remnants of Lechero’s cruel empire. He hands it out to everyone.
Sucre is brought in. “Welcome home, my brother,” the guard says.
“We are all equal,” T-Bag shouts and the crowd responds in turn.
Sofia is in a hospital. She motions to L.J. She whispers something to him. He goes outside and tells Lincoln that she’s going to be okay.
“Uncle Mike, I wanted to wait until we were safe to do this. I found this in the room where Sara and I were held,” He hands him the origami flower.
Michael has a flashback to where he gave Sara the crane.
“I’m sorry,” L.J. says. He then tells Lincoln that Sofia said to tell him that there is something in her apartment, underneath her bed. Something about Whistler. Lincoln says he isn’t interested but Michael says “what is it?”
Mahone looks up from the bar. “You’re late,” he says. It’s Whistler!
“You in?” Whistler says. Mahone says that he is in.
Michael and Lincoln break into the apartment. Michael finds the briefcase under the bed. He uses the gun to break it open. It’s a folder with the words “Jason Lief” and a surveillance report. Lincoln tells him to forget about it. “She killed Sara, Linc,” Michael says.
Lincoln says that he is sorry … he did everything he could. Michael says he knows but he has to go. Lincoln hands him the keys. “Thanks,” Michael says and gives him a hug.
Michael walks out.
Susan B. gets in the car with Whistler and Mahone.
McGrady enjoys his party.
Bellick slumps in the hallway.
Sucre finds his cell.
Lincoln holds Sofia’s hand in the hospital.
Michael drives off, a gun and the flower in the passenger’s seat.

I loved this episode! The flashback with Sara was so overwhelming, that I almost cried. Now i just can’t wait for Michael to kill Gretchen and go after the Company.
And Mahone, I hate him! I knew he was trouble.
I hope there’s a season 4!! Please pray everyone!

This was a PERFECT season finale for me. I couldn’t believe I was right about the flashback. Even though my idea about the flashback came true, I thought that was a sweet and touching moment. Micheal riding off for vengeance and going after Susan B. really shows true love and his love for Sarah.
I have a question though. Even though there was a writer strike, was this episode written as is or was it changed due to the writer strike to look like the season finale episode??? I understand that the episode became the season finale episode due to the writers strike, but the question and possible idea just makes me wonder…Because in my mind I was thinking, if there was not a writers strike this episode would have made a great season finale AS IF the season was ending this soon. If the episode was written as is, MAN, if there was no writers strike, it makes me wonder about the next episode and the actually season finale episode (I think 22nd one of this season).
I hope I didn’t confuse anyone with my question. I would greatly appreciate the answer to the question though. Thanks for reading!!

Mahone joined the company - his golden oppurtunity.
someone on the show - i have no idea.. but most fans expected Sara, and there was an old footage shown… so she didnt really come in, just gave permission for old footage to be used.

As far as I understand, this episode was written before the strike, but with the strike in mind to make it like a season finale, even though it is mid-season. That said, class episode and class ending to a top quality season of PB, pure and simple. The wait from Season 2 to Season 3 was long enough. Thus, the wait to finish this season is going to be interminable; what am I going to do now? :S
It is a guilty pleasure, but simply cannot get enough of this show. My credit goes out to all involved!

CORRECTION: LJ did not give Michael a crane, it was an origami flower that he had made for Sara. So in the end, “Michael drives off, a gun and the ORIGAMI FLOWER in the passenger’s seat.”
