Prison Break - Season 1 vs. Season 3

I’ve seen some people discussing the parallels between Season 1 and Season 3. Perhaps TPTB want to emulate the success of Season 1 as much as possible?!?!
Here are just a few of the similarities… can you come up with more?
- Youth Character. In both seasons there is a young character that needs Michael’s support. [Tweener in Season 1, McGrady in Season 3]
- Mafia Character. In both seasons there is a character that is somewhat “mafia-like”. These characters both were against Michael in the beginning but then join in the escape. [Abruzzi in Season 1, Lechere in Season 3]
- LJ in Danger. In both seasons LJ is kidnapped and held captive. [Kellerman in Season 1, Susan B. in Season 3]
- Authority Overthrown. In both seasons the authority is overthrown at some point. [Abruzzi loses PI in Season 1, Sammy takes over from Lechero in Season 3]

Well .. I’ll give this a try ..
1 - On both Seasons, Michael is placed in a penitentiary, with the purpose to break out another guy. [Linc in Season 1 and James Whistler/Mc Fadden/Gary Miller in Season 2]
2 - On both Seasons, there is an ‘actual prison break-out’. [Mike, Linc, T-Bag, Sucre, C-Note, Abruzzi, Haywire and Tweener in Season 1 and Mike, Mahone, Whistler and Mc Grady in Season 2]

i dont see a comparison between tweener and mcgrady as in season 1, michael approached tweener (to break out), and in season 3, mcgrady approached michael :)
my comparisons are; sucre and mcgrady
sucre and mcgrady both helped michael when he needed something :)

3 - Both characters who were against Michael in the beginning but then join in the escape, ultimately die. [ Abruzzi on “First Down”, and Lechero on “the episode that he has to die yet”, lol, forgive me for not remembering WHICH ep .. lol :-P ]
It's Prison, Yo!

I also see similarities in Susan/Gretchen and Kellerman. They are both evil villans who work for The Company.
@Rainbow,
McGrady and Tweener are similar because they’re both teenage prisoners who needed Mike’s help escaping. It doesn’t matter who asked who.

no matter what anyone says, season 1 was way better than season 3. in season 1 you had sarah AND veronica. and there was still abruzzi. plus michael and sara kiss for the 1st time. it was an awesome season.

Seasons 1 & 2 were WAY better than S3 but hell, rather half an egg than nothing, hey?!
I love Prison Break, I think it’s the best series ever but does anyone know what happened in S3? Someone said the writer quit? That true?
