The Hot Box

Michael is escorted out of the prison as T-Bag, Lechero, Whistler, Bellick, and others watch. In the guard tower, Colonel Zavala interrogates Michael about the helicopter and then leads him on a walk. “If you wish to talk, now’s the time.” Michael refuses and is stuck in a hot box.

“Things are going to get much harder for you. There’s no way to win. You must cooperate.” Zavala says.

In the prison Lechero says that the escape is done. Michael begins roasting in the heat.

Lincoln and Sofia walk the streets, talking about the attempted escape. Sofia says she still wants Whistler to get out and Lincoln says that has been working on it every day. Sofia says that he didn’t need to help her. Susan B. pulls up and tells Lincoln to get in the car. She looks at Sofia. “Everywhere I go, there you are. Go home Sofia.”

Mahone goes back to Sona. He passes Michael.

Reunion

Lincoln is blindfolded. Susan B. tells him to shut up and that he has one minute. Lincoln sees L.J. He hugs him and takes the tape from his mouth. Lincoln immediately looks for an escape route. “That bitch is crazy,” L.J. says, looking at Susan B. Lincoln says that he’ll get him out and “I love you.”

Whistler heads over to Mahone. Mahone says that things must not have gone very well. Whistler says that things are still going as planned and that he’ll take Mahone with him. Bellick tags along behind T-Bag. T-Bag says he wonders if Michael has a tattoo to get out of that box…

Bellick refuses to clean up one of the inmates’ vomit and gets into a scuffle.

Sucre is approached with a special delivery for Sona. At the prison he offers to take some water to Michael. “Hi brother, remember me,” he says. Michael tells him not to let anything happen to L.J. “I’m sorry about Sara,” Sucre says. Michael tells him to quit. “Just go and don’t come back.”

Whistler and Lechero argue in the tunnel as they continue digging.

The Confession

Zavala tells Michael that the box is going to get hotter and soon he’ll be dead. Michael says that he doesn’t understand … if he thought he could help him…. Zavala says that he has a lot of influence but Michael says they can’t stop them. Zavala says that everyone thought Lechero couldn’t be stopped, but now he’s in prison. Michael tells Zavala that from the moment he arrived, he’s been planning his escape. Zavala takes him out of the box.

“The people who sent the helicopters. They’re the same people who framed my brother back in the U.S.” Michael tells Zavala. Zavala doesn’t believe Michael’s story and says that it’s fiction. Michael tells Zavala about L.J.

Sucre Needs Money

Sucre tells Lincoln about running the packages to the prison. He did it for the money, for Maricruz. Sucre tells Lincoln that Michael is in solitary confinement.

T-Bag tells Whistler that if he can get Sammy killed, he wants to be part of the escape. Whistler agrees.

Lincoln and Sucre argue about money. Someone overhears and makes a call on a cell phone.

Zavala tells Michael that there may be some truth to the tale. Zavala asks if the inmate Michael was sent to free will speak. He asks for a name.

Pure Torture

Whistler sees Sofia. She asks about the passport, the apartment… Whistler says that it was for them, after the escape. He then tells her that he loves her. A guard escorts him away.

Zavala interrogates Whistler but he lies. Zavala says that he knows the truth but needs a name on the outside. “What are you talking about?” Whistler says. A torture device is brought into the room. “Now, start over.” Zavala says.

T-Bag asks Mahone for a favor. He says that if Mahone does that “neck thing” to Sammy, T-Bag will “cover all his medical expenses.”

Whistler is attached to the torture apparatus. He gives up that he is working with Michael, but confirms nothing else. Michael tells him to give Zavala her name. “Gretchen Morgan,” he says. “I don’t know where she lives. I don’t know how you find her.”

Susan B. finds Sucre at the bar. She chats him up about Lincoln and tells him to start looking out for himself. She says she’ll pay him $50,000 to keep tabs on Lincoln.

Michael calls Lincoln and asks for the next meeting time and place with Susan B. Zavala listens in…

In Sona, Sammy removes a package from the incoming food. Bellick is challenged with the chicken foot over “a pile of puke.” He looks pretty frightened and heads to Lechero. Sammy intercedes and tells Bellick that the fight goes on as planned. Lechero tells Sammy that it’s not his right, not his place. “Well maybe it should be,” Sammy responds with a scowl. T-Bag looks the other way.

Zavala heads out after Susan B. Sucre visits Lincoln. “It worked!” he says “She came up to me, just like you said.”

Mahone has an episode and tells T-Bag to get out when he approaches with some drugs. T-Bag kicks him to the ground and tells him not to come crawling back.

Lincoln meets Susan B. at the bar. They have their usual witty banter and Zavala strolls in. Lincoln yells after them that he had nothing to do with it.

Susan B. swears that she is a tourist and a student of life and has no idea who a James Wilson is.

Bellick prepares to go into battle. He wraps his knuckles and is immediately beaten to the ground.

Susan B. is hooked up to the torture device. Saran wrap is placed on her face and water poured over it. She continues to refuse to answer. “You seem concerned for her,” Michael says to Whistler as they wait outside the room. Susan B. fights the water and tries to breathe. She gasps for air but still refuses to answer.

Zavala leads Michael and Whistler into the room. She says that she has never seen them before. She finally reveals that she is involved but is just the babysitter. She says she can take Zavala to L.J.

Revenge

Michael steps forward. “Was it you? Did you kill Sara?”
“I have no idea who you’re talking about,” she says.
“I’m coming for you,” he responds.

Bellick turns the fight around and surprisingly wins. The crowd goes wild. T-Bag looks surprised. He picks up the rag and smells it. Bellick had dipped it in acetone before the fight.

Zavala opens a door to a shack to see L.J. but nobody is there. Susan B. manages to kill two guards and shoots Zavala. She then calls Lincoln.

Back to Basics

Sammy is told that he needs to make a choice, that Lechero’s days are numbered. “Now is the time to make a move… prove yourself.” There is something in the package to help him.

Another man walks into the guard tower. The general was found dead earlier that morning. The pair is sent back to Sona. Michael approaches Lechero and borrows his phone.

Lincoln is pissy with Michael because he wasn’t in on the plan.

Michael tells Whistler that the plan is still on, but after they escape Whistler is collateral, nothing more.

Sammy opens the package. It’s a gun.
