VIDEO - Dominic Purcell Interview
Dominic Purcell speaks about the Prison Break phenomenon. He also says that if the writers’ strike ends in mid-January (i.e. next week) that they should be able to film all 22 episodes, otherwise Season 3 will probably end after episode 13.
Does anyone think it’s strange that they respell Dominic’s name as Dominique?

Dominique LOL Yeah, I think that’s the French spelling for his name. Still, funny shit. I heard the French do that sometimes (respell English names to French ones). I’ve seen it done a couple of times years ago with Michael Jackson - Michel Jackson LOL.
So,it’s mid January already… I guess we’ll have a 13-episode season? I haven’t seen any of the spoilers, but I truly hope they could wrap it honorably.

I think the strike will not end soon… I hope it does though!
As per dominique, the french say it like that because it is their language… I know a fench guy who has a son called Dominic, and he keeps calling hime Dominique… the same with table, in UK we say it like “tay-bel”, but in france they say it like “tar-blur”… just heir way :D
I seriously hope they dont end the season with only 13 episodes! The DVD box set will only be two DVDs, and the second will be nearly empty!

I’m French and I can say we don’t “Franchize” your names. We let them like they are. Here in France, we never called Michael Jackson “Michel”, LOL. I don’t know where you have heard this ^^.
We pronounce Maillekeule.

I understand that is probably pronounced Domin-ique in French, but to purposely spell it that way, when it is NOT his name, is a little strange! I mean, I was “Nicolette” in French class, but that was high school!!

“blah blah blah “The way French people pronounce Dominic’s name”, blah blah blah.”
It’s extremely irritating to have prejudices about the way we French pronounce foreign names.
And I’m here to refute you : we don’t pronounce your fuc*ing names like that.

To be honnest, there is a spelling mistake….
I’m french and you can spell it both ways but dominiC is male and dominiQUE is male and female…
I know, we are weird people… But what can we do????
