Sarah Wayne Callies - FOX Made Her Quit?
Gosh I hope this is a rumor! But it’s strange that nobody is coming out and refuting it…
According to an interview in French magazine Tele Star, former Prison Break star Sarah Wayne Callies, aka Dr. Sara Tancredi, was forced to quit the show. Here is a rough translation of the interview (if the magazine is credible):
Big surprise on Prison Break. We hear that you’re leaving the show in the third season.
Yes, but I didn’t have the choice. I’m sad, but it’s just show business.You weren’t expecting this?
No, at the end of season 2 last year. I was sure I’d continue. It’s such a great adventure we achieved.How did you know you were fired?
I don’t want to speculate too much about this. I was shocked.Your leaving the show was a big deal. You have to tell us more!
I’ll just say this. I am sorry to let down the viewers. I have loved the support Sara Tancredi got from them. and though she was a victim of her own destiny, I liked how she made decisions by herself. But the way things ended up couldn’t have been foreseen. Again, I was deceived by the decision.How did your fellow actors react?
They told me ‘It’s too bad. I loved working with you and good luck, we hope we can work together again.’And Wentworth [Miller]?
We were so sad that we wouldn’t work together anymore. Wentworth is a gentleman. He’s gracious and full of class. And i learned a lot from him. But in a series like “Prison Break,” apart from Wentworth, anyone can go. When I took the role of Sara, I thought it’d be for only a year. Afterwards, I was so happy to get a second year.If they call you back, will you accept?
Of course! I don’t have another role right now. Right now, I need to find work.How will Sara make her exit from the series?
I don’t know. I’m not part of the team anymore and don’t have any influence on the storyline.How is being a mom to baby Keala?
It’s a rich experience and unpredictable. You can’t plan anything. (Keala was born in July 2007.)What projects do you currently have today?
I’ll rest another month in Vancouver (Canada). Afterwards, I’ll go to California for a little bit. After that, I’d like to do theater in New York. I honed my skills on the stage and I miss it.

Sarah’s character is needed to make “Michael” do the things that the “company” wants him to do so if Sara’s head is in the box…that sucks. *shrugs* i dunno!

I think someone is lying on how she has gotten off the show. If she is not coming back then the reason for it is not coming out right.
The Swiss TV Guide from a couple pages back on this site said she told FOX to kill off her character. This French magazine Tele Star is saying she got fired by FOX, meaning it was not her choice.
So does anyone know what is the reason for her leaving and not coming back? She fired or she quit?

I’m not sure, if you’ve ever read an interview with Sarah Wayne Callies, but that does not sound like her usual lingo. It sounds to me like a fake. Anything coming from a magazine, shouldn’t be too credible anyway, you should just believe what FOX brings out and believe that.
I don’t Sarah would say all of the things said in this interview and she definately wouldn’t say them like that.

I really hope this is not true. I loved the dynamic between Michael and Sara and it would be really stupid to kill off one of the strongest characters on the show. Not to mention the fact that the Fox guys specifically said that they would not kill off SWC’s character because SWC was having a baby. I’ve heard from other people that this particular French magazine is not credible, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see. If Sara makes it through episode 4 then I think the character is safe - at least for a while. Meanwhile, I guess we’ll all be signing petitions like crazy just in case…

Keeping everybody guessing and speculating about the Sara character being in or out - it’s called stroking of attention/interest. Seems to work - everybody is still watchin’ ;-)

I’ve heard from a pretty reliable source that it is indeed Sarah’s head in he box. In fact, the source is so reliable, he might be in a great deal of trouble with the studio for flapping his gums about it, because he violated the terms of his contract by doing so.
What he said amounted to a verification that Sarah’s head would be in the box, and in fact this rumor has been circulating for like two weeks, well before thje episode aired that ended with Lincoln finding the box, which was episode three.
Personally, I hope it’s true. I am not a MiSa fan, in fact, I think it was ruining the show. Prison Break is an action/adventure/suspense, etc., show, not a love story.
There are all kinds of love stories on television, Prison Break doesn’t need to be just another one of them.

yeah but think about it…from the beginning of season 3 they didn’t show her at all! just one time when she called michael from where she was captured. and there, we didn’t see her at all, just her back. maybe a double?

I don’t want to believe that Sara is gone!!! She was the only one helping Michael to move on!What they have is too special to be wasted! Please bring her back! MiSa’s love story was the only thing in the show that was actually hopefull!!! And ofcourse, Michael’s reaction when he finds it out will be horible!! I really hope you bring her back, otherwise the show is going to loose many fans! It’s the best thing you could do!!!! I am from Greece and I am really looking forward to see how the relationship will go on!!!

Another poster suggested it was the head of the woman Linc saw at the morgue. I’m hoping this is the case. The show wouldn’t be worth watching without the Sara+Michael saga. It’s just such a flat ending. It would only torment Michael’s soul further… for every good deed he does, a dozen horrific things seem to play out! Jeesh, how much suffering can one man bear?! I just can’t imagine his future without Sara. :(

I just noticed something. On the head in the box, it looks like there are scratches on the side of the face, similar to the ones on the face of the woman that supposedly cut Sara’s head off… remember in the bar when Linc asked her what happened to her face and she said it was a “big cat”. Kind of an errie coincidence… I wonder if this means something.

Maybe the gal with the scratches on her face is among a number of women “owned” by “the company” and the scratches are a way of branding (like cattle). It’s a stretch I know, but considering how women are treated on PB, it wouldn’t surprise me. Maybe one gal in the group that looked like Sara was sacrificed and placed in the box that Linc found.

Tell me why when Lincon found Sara in the room where she was being held (kidnapped) and then they through LJ and another woman(supposed to be Sara) in the back of the van. You never see Sara’s face. only a woman legs and feet. Please mail me or post a comment on my blog.

Hey Frank,
I thought the same thing… you never actually see Sara’s face after she’s kidnapped. The last time they show her is when she and Michael surrender to the Panamanian authorities after shooting the oriental guy at the “Christina Rose”. Even when Sara is released, they only show a woman walking away in the same white shirt… could have been anyone. The only thing I can come up with is that she was on maternity leave when those segments were filmed. I don’t think the real Sara was in any of the kidnapping scenes.

Well if thats the case then why cant fox just air it at a later/earlier time slot.
If fox can make concessions for baseball. Fox can do the same for prison break. Make a time slot for PB, even if its another day. I AM A FAN I WILL WATCH AT ANY COST!!!!

Hey all you dorks out there. I watch PB because despite it’s subject, the stars use a considerable amount of gray matter! I wish I could say the same about some of you idiots writing on this message board. Instead of reading previous posts to get your answers, you ask the same freaking questions and make the same freaking comments over and over again. Case in point was the postponed airing of S1 E05… the why and when it will air. Talk about freaking annoying! Use your freaking head you idiots!

MiSa refers to Michael and Sara…It’s just a nickname given to them we took the first 2 letters of their name and out them together to make MiSa..It’s jst easier to write that then Michael and Sara everytime we wanna ralk about them :)

C Note might return at some part so might kelerman my theory is that if kellerman is alive it was aldo burrows people that saved him the reason i think this is that we never actually saw kellermans dead body were as with aldo veronica tweener and abruzzi they were quite clearly dead here one 4 u all you know the new guy that got head butted as soon as he came through the gates of sona wasent he the guy that was following dr tancreddi at the end of season 2 in the episode sona i also think if im wright an he is the guy im thinking of that he will be killed and it might sound crazy but i think scofeild will be the one that kills him

anyway i dont believe what they wrote, if u watched the show well, terrance, the brother to the vice president, was assumed killed, but in his grave they found the exact strutture of his body, teeth ecc, so i think thats how they did sara, i dont think they killed her, anyway if they really did, then they are stupid, i wont watch the stuff anymore, but in the other way round it seems more intresting cos, when micheal breaks out, n sara is no more……

well i watch the 6th n 7th episode n it seems they really did kill sara i think they asked her to go, after she had her baby last during summer.. i heard somewhere thatd there are tryin to bring in a new character that will replace sara, i mean not sara but a girl who broke out from jail like scofield..

I’m sorry but Fox and the PB Producers completely destroyed this show. They got rid of a LOVED character (Sara) to bring on a bunch of new people that everyone hates with actresses that can’t act. PLEASE BRING SARAH BACK!!
They “jumped the shark”, “shot themselves in the foot” and “slapped every fan in the face” with this stupid decision.

They don’t show Sarah’s face because it is a double, a lookalike.
The actress never actually came on to the set, as far as I know as she was on maternity leave.
I think she basically gave them permission to record her voice and use doubles.
Knowing TV stations such as FOX there will be a twist in the tale in the 20th episode or something.

She was on maternity leave and she had recorded the voiceover before she left. There’s a radio interviw where she said she even recorded some scenes for this season but obviously they scraped them….damn them…
