Episode 02.18 Review
Oh come on! Why don’t we get to hear the conversation!! I love the facial expressions on Michael and Sara as they listened.
Bellick’s not looking so good. And threatening Mahone? Probably not a good idea. Otherwise he just might become one of those skeletons in Mahone’s closet. He stops by the prison to talk to Sucre’s cousin. Throws a lot of temptation (and a transfer to a plush location) on the table to get him to rat on Sucre’s location.
Kellerman’s back to his evil self. Killing the guy who’s providing him with weapons?
Can’t help but hope that C-Note won’t actually lead Mahone right to Michael. But he is looking out for his family’s best interests.
Poor Lincoln. LJ just wants a normal life and Lincoln’s not exactly in a space to provide that.
Sucre and Maricruz arrive at Sucre’s aunt’s home and are welcomed with open arms.
T-Bag’s visits a psychiatrist. That poor guy is in for more than he bargained for. And now T-Bag can start his life over again “as a shiny new penny”. After getting a therapy session T-Bag decides to beat the crap out of the guy and take over his life!!
Michael heads off to meet with Cooper Green about the tape and Sara takes a stroll to visit her father’s grave. Bruce shows up and defends himself against her accusations. Lincoln leads Cooper through a series of activities in an effort to get rid of Kim’s guys tailing him. Wet and without his jacket Cooper enters a museum. From there Cooper walks through some tunnels and enters a room to meet with Michael. It’s only then that we learn that Cooper is NOT Cooper Green. ARGH.
A battered looking Kim calls Mahone and tells him that they don’t need C-Note anymore to get Michael. Instead they need a “death with no questions.” Mahone walks in and tells C-Note that he’d have done everything in his shoes and that C-Note is a good dad. He also says that he’s going to keep his promise and will help C-Note’s family, but only if C-Note does what he’s about to ask. C-Note will get a package in his cell that afternoon and Mahone asks him to use it. I’m guessing it’s a rope?? And I was right!
Michael talks to fake-Cooper and asks for details. He wants to meet with a judge personally. Meanwhile Lincoln jogs through the tunnels to find Michael and fake-Cooper gone. They’re off on a journey to get an inhaler, but fake-Cooper fails Michael’s medication test and Michael slams him into a wall. Whew!
T-Bag is traveling as the good old doctor. At the airport he’s not very happy to have to check in his duffle bag full of cash!
Kellerman meets up with his sister, who he obviously hasn’t seen in a while. In a roundabout way he tells her that he’s about to do something that a lot of people will hate him before. So intriguing!
Sara and the real Cooper Green arrive back at the hotel room to meet up with Michael and Lincoln.
Sucre gets to feel the baby move even though Maricruz has no belly to speak of!
Bellick and T-Bag are on the same flight to Mexico. Of course Bellick’s in coach eating pretzels while T-Bag drinks champagne in first class.
C-Note’s scene with Kacee was way too sad.
The last couple minutes see a ton of action… Kellerman arrives on the presidential parade route and shoots one of the guards. Cooper informs the boys that legally speaking the tape is useless because the date stamped on the file is the copy date, not the record date. It could have been recorded prior to Steadman’s presumed death. Cooper does say that the president might be willing to negotiate with them to keep her name from being pulled into the mess… meanwhile Kellerman’s getting ready to shoot said president! Mahone figures out where Sara, Lincoln and Michael are staying and gets the room number from the hotel receptionist.
And C-Note stands on his bed, a noose around his neck, and falls forward.

Last night’s episode was better, there were some “No way, how can that be??” moments here and there (for eg T-Bag and Bellick on the SAME plane heading to Chicago..small world huh?!) but overall enjoyed the episode and the whole Cooper Green scene. Things seem to be looking kind of dire from next week’s preview, especially that interrogation scene between Michael and EAK (Evil Agent Kim). Hope Micheal’s planning to give EAK a beatdown - intellectually and physically!

you predicted the rope correctly. I did not. I thought it would be a lethal mix of drugs made to kill him and look like a drug overdose.

I officially give up.
No copies of the tape? No releases worldwide to the news media?
